Muddy Dog Day is a newer holiday, this year being only its 3rd celebration. It was first celebrated on October 28, 2021 in the United Kingdom. After COVID-19 caused a lockdown, pet owners took to social media to share pictures of their dogs rolling around in mud, jumping in dirt, or just the aftermath of a good romp outside. A person named Jo Milnes created this holiday in hopes to provide some light and humor during a dark time.
