It’s that time of year again! January marks the start of another year, and another set of resolutions. Sometimes it’s hard to stick with your goals, so how about you find a partner to not only hold you accountable, but to follow the same goals as you? What better resolution buddy than your trusty furry companion!
Here are a few New Year’s resolutions that you can make with your dog:
- Exercise more.
Of course something about exercise must be on the list but make it fun! Vow to take longer walks with your best friend and enjoy the outdoors! Find a new route, explore a conservation area, and get active! - Less phone time.
This may not seem important, but less phone time allows you to free your mind to be more present with your pup. Replace the screen with play time, exercise, making a healthy snack or just enjoying each other’s company. - Learn some new tricks.
Like your pup, you’re never too old to learn a new trick! Find a new hobby or interest, it’s great stimulation and it’s always good for a change. While you’re at it, come up with a new trick to teach your dog! They will be up for the challenge. - Make new friends.
Hit up some dog parks and meet some new pooches and people! You know you’ll have at least one thing in common (something that’s cute and furry), so you’ll have a good conversation starter.
