New Year’s Resolutions For Your Pet

Happy New Year! New Year’s resolutions are easy to make but can be hard to keep. They are made with the best intentions, but life can get in the way of keeping them. Since we want to keep our pets with us for as long as possible, why not make some resolutions that will help them become happier, healthier, and around longer! I bet we are more likely to keep those goals since it’s about our furry friends.

Here’s a few resolutions that you can make to help your pet this year!

Get to the vet.
Scheduling regular vet visits can help your pet live longer as a means of preventative care.

Update ID tags.
Check your pet’s ID tags and ensure that all your information is up to date. In the misfortunate case that your pet is lost, updated identification can be the key to reuniting you with your furry loved one.

Exercise daily.
A walk a day can keep the vet away! Exercising is key in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Walking with your pet helps:
-Digestive and circulatory systems
-Provide mental stimulation
-Develop a bond between you
-Prevent obesity, thus maintaining healthy hearts, joints and bodies all around

Brush those teeth.
Maintaining oral hygiene is important for your pet. Removing food/bacteria helps prevent a build up of plaque that can lead to stinky breath and other possible problems. It also helps you keep an eye on their teeth and become aware of anything out of the ordinary going on, like a fractured tooth, which can become a serious problem.
