Senior pets can be amazing! Did you know that November is “Adopt a Senior Pet Month”?  These aged beauties have so many benefits of adopting, from calmer temperaments, previous training of basic commands, to the simplicity of already being housebroken.

How can we improve the lives of these animals that deserve so much love? Here are some ideas!

Regular vet checkups.
Early intervention or detection can be life changing. Ensure your pet is healthy and comfortable so that they can enjoy a long and happy life.

Enrich their lives with new things
Ensure your pooch is mentally stimulated with new treat toys, puzzle cubes and experiences! They need these things to prevent boredom and keep their minds going.  Short spurts of play throughout the day can help prevent mental decline.

Spending time outside.
Getting fresh air is important to anyone. Keep your dog in shape and healthy by keeping a good exercise routine.  Does your dog love the outdoors but can no longer manage the long hikes? Adapt your routine, slow your walks and do what your dog can manage.
